Definition / in general (strongly related to psychology)

"An archetype (pronounced: /ˈarkətaɪp/) is a generic, idealized model of a person, object, or concept from which similar instances are derived, copied, patterned, or emulated. In psychology, an archetype is a model of a person, personality, or behavior."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archetype ( state of 2008-03)

More detailed definition aspects: en.wikipedia.org/wiki /Archetype_%28disambiguation%29 (state: 2008-03)

--- Archetype, traditionally defined in the field of psychology as the idealised model of a person or personality

--- Stock character, standard character types seen in fiction and literature

--- Archetype (information science), a formal re-usable model of a domain concept

(For buyers of the German language version: Very soon a free update of the E-Book will bring you the German translation also for this chapter.)

vampire, vampirism, vampir, demons, spirits, superstition, chupacabra, blood drinking, Kali, vetalas, Pishacha, Sekhmet, asanbosam, Cihuateteo, Bhūta, Prét, Tagalog mandurugo, Visayan manananggal, Jiang Shi, cannibalism.

from: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire :

- - "The notion of vampirism has existed for millennia; cultures such as the Mesopotamians, Hebrews, Ancient Greeks, and Romans had tales of demons and spirits which are considered precursors to "modern" vampires. - Modern new superstition, same archetype: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chupacabra

from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire : "Almost every nation has associated blood drinking with some kind of revenant or demon. The Ancient Indian deity Kali with fangs, and a garland of corpses or skulls, was intimately linked with the drinking of blood. - Tales of vetalas, ghoul-like beings that inhabit corpses, have been compiled in the Baital Pachisi, a prominent story in the Kathasaritsagara tells of King Vikramāditya and his nightly quests to capture an elusive one.... Pishacha, the returned spirits of evil-doers or those who died insane, also bear vampiric attributes. ... Even Egypt had its blood-drinking goddess Sekhmet."

Culture Extermination Archetype

(For buyers of the German language version: Very soon a free update of the E-Book will bring you the German translation also for this chapter.)

... forced cultural revolutions by destruction : Cultural revolution in China, Colonisation, Cambodga / Khmer Rouge, France / forcing French language in provinces, Book burning (e.g. Nazi), etc.etc.

4.   --'KBB-XXTYP-CULT_EX_ --1
Examples: China 1966++

en.wikipedia.org/wiki /Cultural_revolution - state 2008-05: "The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in the People's Republic of China was a struggle for power within the Communist Party of China that manifested into wide-scale social, political, and economic chaos, which grew to include large sections of Chinese society and eventually brought the entire country to the brink of civil war."

4.   --'KBB-XXTYP-CULT_EX_ --2
Examples: Cambodia 1975++

en.wikipedia.org /wiki/Cambodia : 2008-05 : "The Khmer Rouge reached Phnom Penh and took power in 1975, changing the official name of the country to Democratic Kampuchea, led by Pol Pot. They immediately evacuated the cities and sent the entire population on forced marches to rural work projects. They attempted to rebuild the country's agriculture on the model of the 11th century. They also discarded Western medicine, with the result that while hundreds of thousands died from starvation and disease there were almost no drugs in the country."

4.   --'KBB-XXTYP-CULT_EX_ --3
Examples: Colonisation (including slavery)

The destruction of former cultural life of the colonies was in most colonies a goal, for various reasons.

It is an archetype of human civilisation that major government-tolerated injustice requires to get a legal base. Examples:

How to give slavery a legal base? - Because slavery should protect people from some evil worse than slavery...
from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannibalism : (Quotation, state 2008-03:)
-- "According to a decree by Queen Isabella of Castile and also later under British colonial rule, slavery was considered to be illegal unless the people involved were so depraved that their conditions as slaves would be better than as free men. This legal requirement may have led to conquerors exaggerating the extent of cannibalistic practices, or inventing them altogether, as demonstrations of cannibalistic tendencies were considered evidence of such depravity."

"Zipf's law" is an unexpected language feature.

"Zipf's law states that given some corpus of natural language utterances, the frequency of any word is inversely proportional to its rank in the frequency table. Thus the most frequent word will occur approximately twice as often as the second most frequent word, which occurs twice as often as the fourth most frequent word, etc. For example, in the Brown Corpus "the" is the most frequently occurring word, and all by itself accounts for nearly 7% of all word occurrences (69971 out of slightly over 1 million). True to Zipf's Law, the second-place word "of" accounts for slightly over 3.5% of words (36411 occurrences), followed by "and" (28852). Only 135 vocabulary items are needed to account for half the Brown Corpus."
(this was a quotation from Wikipedia / state 2008-05)

6.   --'KBJ-ZZJJA-LANG-RULES_ --2
"Zipf's law" - the more general view.

More general: "Zipf's law, an empirical law formulated using mathematical statistics, refers to the fact that many types of data studied in the physical and social sciences can be approximated with a Zipfian distribution, one of a family of related discrete power law probability distributions. The law is named after the linguist George Kingsley Zipf (pronounced /ˈzɪf/) who first proposed it (Zipf 1935, 1949), though J.B. Estoup appears to have noticed the regularity before Zipf." (this was a quotation from Wikipedia / state 2008-05)

11.   --'VAE-ZZKBK_ --
Civilization change by information technologies:

11.   --'VAE-ZZKBK_ --1
The problem: Genetics versus technology?

Man is not prepared with genetics, cultural tradition, and with the resultant archetypes of civilization, now that technological progress suddenly requires a different human being. It is true that, from new technologies, man always chooses only human-compatible technologies for permanent adoption. But what if technology suddenly develops automatic dynamics and loses its selectability?

Where is the eligibility when the computer science potential pushes total data registration so fast that policy is not given the time to set boundaries by law? This huge topic is explained only with some aspects here below:

The new unique current civilization change

is to integrate into economic theory: Internet, data protection, networking, security risks, vulnerabilites. A redundancy theory has to be added to economic theory: The costs versus benefits of redundant security concepts which can or can not survive risk events.

Modern control systems:

The economic effects of mass surveillance and crowd control have to become part of a new coherent theory. Total control - what it will lead to in the long run? Which limits will be required?

11.   --'VAE-ZZKBK_ --2
Administrative dictatorship - EU, China.

There is not just democracy or "communism". Real nations are hybrids of various government types. The European Commission and China function largely as administrative dictatorship. In the EU, this is historically conditioned by the replica of the French governmental system. Economic theory has to do intensive research on the subject of this phenomenon. There are not only either market-liberal or socialist systems. Here is a completely different concept.

12.   --'VAE-ZZKCE-GROWTH_ --
Paradox: "IT revolution - but no economic growth?"

This is an archetype since time immemorial: Progress of well-being (nowadays mainly meant as economic growth) is regarded as an obligation task of the lead animals for their flock, nowadays named politicians and citizens. The question of how eternal growth can be at all is hardly ever posed. In these years, this creates a strange problem:

12.   --'VAE-ZZKCE-GROWTH_ --1
Approaches to the paradox: "Why little economic growth despite computer science, Internet, automation? "

Overlay of various factors, all of which are individually to be tested for soundness and which could be translated into a coherent system - perhaps into a "model of economic growth despite non-growth":

Consumption: Statisticians measure the quantities, not the benefit improvement.

Technical Progress: Slowed because (fortunately) no innovation by new technologies for world wars.

Increasing coverage of physical human basic needs. The growing satisfaction of non-physical needs is statistically not sufficiently objectively measurable,

Absorption of growth effects by

13.   --'VAE-ZZUBU-FREE_ --1
Total freedom or total (tele-(control

This is an archetype of civilization. Since the beginning of group formation - that is, already before the evolution to human beings - up to the modern state, these are the poles between which the slider is somewhere in the middle, but is always shifted to one side or the other.

Here examples are presented to make aware how we are in the midst of a fundamental change towards the abolition of freedom:

How much right to liberty are we all losing when citizens transfer their behavior data to an insurer by smartphone to receive a bonus to their health insurance? And when non-exchangers are excluded from this bonus?
(Failure of the governmental implementation obligation against coercion to fundamental rights violation?)

14.   --'KBW-ZZWWW-LUCK_ --
Do xou feel lucky?
Money, luck, being rich, wealth, profession, carreer, hobby, life, ideals, friends, free time... How many people are ''feeling lucky''? - Do YOU feel lucky?

Professor Elisabeth Noelle-Neumann, during half a century in Germany among the best for the search of statistical scientific truth, wanted to know it exactly:
The statistics of ,,feeling happy - for half a century.'':

''Liberty and happiness'', from the financial daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung 2002-07-03 S. 5 (half a page):

14.   --'KBW-ZZWWW-LUCK_ --1

''Liberty and happiness'', from the financial daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung 2002-07-03 S. 5 (half a page):

In Germany, around 25 % of the citizens feel in some global manner ,,happy''.
The evaluation is only for Germany. But it is probably quite similar for most industrialized countries.
This percentage is since 1953 nearly constant (hence since the economic normalization of Germany after World War II).
The aspect of being relatively poor or rich has nearly no influence on this percentage.

The unique common aspect among
those who declare to feel ''happy'': They have a high level of self-determination within their professional activity and related to personal life. They have a wider space of liberty than the other ones.
